Static HomePage with Blog Posts

    Hi,
    I’m having issues with the Static HomePage displaying the latest blog posts using the Shawburn theme. My blog website isn’t launched yet so I’m not sure if that is part of the issue as I wasn’t ready to display my website yet.

    I want my Static Homepage the way I designed it to be still there (as I created an intro part) but then also show my latest blog posts. I did what the tutorial said to create 2 pages, one for the HomePage and one for the blog posts. Only when I click on the menu button – Blog Reviews it works. Right now my blog posts are templates from the Shawburn theme so I wanted to test it out.

    I hope someone can help me with this issue.

    The instructions in the Setting up your Homepage section of the Shawburn overview don’t tell you how to include posts on a static front page. The instructions regarding creation of a second page and assigning it as your posts page have nothing to do with the homepage. On a site where the homepage isn’t the set to display the latest posts, it’s common to display the latest posts on another page. That’s what these tips in the instructions are about.

    There are various ways to include posts in a static front page. One way is to insert a Blog Posts Block into the content of the page. Another is to include Display Posts Shortcode in the page content.
