static page is not showing sidebar
-
I have created Home page with sidebar, when I make it as a static front page then sidebar doesn’t come up there. Is there any way to display it while linking page to static front page?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Check the theme you’re using
I’m using Twenty Eleven. The same side bars are shown on all pages (about, contact)
I haven’t used a static front page; not 100% sure it’ll work -
I’m getting side bar on every page including Home but when I set it as a static front page the side bar disappears. Also, I don’t see any option to not set static front page.

Try going on to the site
“Site Preview”
Bottom left a small bar with edit and customize should appear
If it disappears try scrolling up and down
Click on customize
It should give you options there -
The key factor that been missing is the page template assigned. The Main Sidebar widget area will appear on a page assigned to the Sidebar template. The Showcase Sidebar area will display on a page assigned the Showcase template. If a page is assigned to the Default template, then neither the Showcase Sidebar widget area nor the Main Sidebar widget area will be displayed.
See the Template section of the Page Attributes support page.

The static homepage in Dara automatically gets assigned a special front page layout, without needing to assign a page template.
These widget areas are available on the static front page in Dara: Footer 1, Footer 2, and Footer 3. There’s no sidebar.
Just let me know if this solves the mystery!

Also, I don’t see any option to not set static front page
If you prefer to display posts on the front page, go into your Customizer and next to “Front page displays” select “Your latest posts.”

I added sidebar in Home page and wanted to make Home page as front page with sidebar, but if it’s not in the theme then may be I’ll try to add side bar content in Footer.
Thanks!

@kachapiswaradhara’s site is private. I evidently mistook @thebrain786’s statement “I’m using Twenty Eleven” as an identification of the theme used by @kachapiswaradhara. The information I provided regarding templates and corresponding widget areas pertains to the Twenty Eleven theme, not Dara.

You may delete all of my posts here if you like, for the sake of simplicity. : -)
