Static page (not front page)

I want to add a static page, and everything I look up simply aids in the process of a static FRONT page which is not what I’m looking for.
I’m looking to place a “contact” page on my website, without the page listing the date and name of the admin by default.
Anyone familiar with the integration of a simple static page.. ?

The default contact page does not provide the name of the admin to visitors at the site. Each visitor will have their own information filled in IF they are currently logged in to WordPress.com. If not logged in, that information is all blank. You can test it out by visiting your own contact page from a computer that is not logged in to WordPress.com.

I’m using the wordpress install from my webhost.. which has a little different admin interface (wordpress.org). Is this going to be a different process then?
Because on my contact page after adding the contact form, the page still shows this:
Contact Us

Yes indeed, your WordPress install at a webhost is an entirely different version of WordPress. I should have requested your URL to confirm that you were in the correct forum.
