  Is there any way to use sidebar widgets with a static page? landentenglish.wordpress.com I am creating a school site and need widgets on all my pages. If wordpress allows us to create pages to look like webpages how is there not a way to use widgets as a sidebar? Or do I need to pick a different theme? I am using twenty eleven

  You are free to choose another theme that provides widgets on all pages. See here please > http://theme.wordpress.com/

  P.S. The theme you are using is operating the way it is designed to operate. There is no sidebar on single posts in this theme. I find this article to be very helpful when working with the Twenty Eleven theme.
