Static pages with multiple galleries as thumbnails
-
I want to create a couple of pages that I can display as static pages with multiple galleries in Thumbnail format. Each gallery needs to have a title, by either rolling over or a separate title.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

This can’t be done with just galleries. You might want to use a grid like theme instead, for example: http://autofocusdemo.wordpress.com/ or one of the themes listed at http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/search/grid/ or http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/subjects/photography/ . This way the featured image of a post can function as a “gallery thumbnail”, then inside the post you can add a single gallery.
Please let us know if you need any further assistance!

Thank you so much for this. Now I have activated a grid theme please can you talk me through how to have a page with thumbnails and titles that users may click on and lead them to another page with the content there?
I want to have a full width page for all galleries. The parent page should have a grid of images that when selected take them to this page.
Thanks again for your help!

You currently have the ‘Responsive’ theme enabled. I don’t see a specific grid feature on this theme. However, you can find more features about the theme at http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/responsive/

Thank you so much for your help!
Right Im getting more to grips with it but finding it hard when i change to other themes because then some of the things that I want to do I cant do with them!
This is what I want from my theme
A static Home page with maybe one image and a small amount of text. This wont move or be anything like a blog role
A blog page with an infinite scroll down (no grid)
Secondary pages for displaying my artwork that will look like the grid format and then one clicked on takes you to the page of a further gallery. This can be as well as or instead of drop down menuI really like the look of this website http://www.maskcara.com for the galleries etc
I’m happy to pay for a theme if its the right one! I’d like to be able to customise the colours and have a sleek looking simplistic feel.
Thanks again. Ill get there soon!

You can follow the instructions in this guide on how to create a static front page and a separate posts page: http://en.support.wordpress.com/front-page
