    Hello, how do i make a static top menu in wordpress? Such that when I scroll, it is still visible at the top. Do I need to install any add-ons? Thank you.

    Hi there,

    Generally speaking, it’s not possible to create your own sticky menu, so I recommend first looking to see if any of these themes with sticky menu built in will be a good fit for your needs: https://wordpress.com/themes/filter/fixed-menu

    Since the ability to create sticky menus on any site you wish is not a built in feature on WordPress.com (this may change in the coming months) another option would be to install a plugin to add that functionality.

    There are quite a few 3rd party “sticky menu” plugins here as you can see: https://wordpress.com/plugins/?s=sticky+menu

    This would allow you to add a sticky menu to any theme but please note that it’s not possible to install the plugins on free WordPress.com sites. You can do that by upgrading to our Business Plan though, which will allow you to upload any plugin or them “designed for WordPress.”
