  How do I convert my WP blog to a static website?
  How do I change my website WP URL that doesn’t have ‘wordpress’ in it?
  Should I do this before or after I register for a new domain name?

  Hi There,
  If you are looking to register a domain name, it would be best for you to upgrade your plan and then your domain name would be included in that fee. Here is the link that explains the different plans so that you can choose what would be best for you. https://wordpress.com/plans

  If you are looking to have static pages vs a blog you can set up pages on your website. There are many themes to choose from so you can also choose something that best fits what you are looking for. Here is some more information on pages vs blog posts.
