Static website –not blog
-
I’m using Ryu. I have a static website. How can I remove Comment from my left channel and Reply, at the bottom of the page? I don’t want people to “reply.” I thought I did everything correctly to make this a static website, not a blog. Everything is showing up as a page, not a post.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You’ll need to disable comments on the pages you don’t want comments enabled on. You’ll first need to enable the Discussion box on the Edit screen. Read this article for more information:

All WordPress blogs by default have comments open on all Pages and Posts as in evidenced own your own blog. You can enable and disable comments on free hosted WordPress.com blogs on this page > Settings > Discussion
Discussion settings is where you set up defaults for comments.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/discussion-settings/You can also override the default settings and enable or disable future comments on any individual post or page.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/enable-disable-comments/Note: By default, new blogs on WordPress.com will have the Discussion hidden. You can reveal it by clicking on Screen Options http://en.support.wordpress.com/screen-options/ on the top right corner of your Admin page, and checking the box that says Discussion so the module is included. http://en.support.wordpress.com/modules/#list-of-modules

Thank you very much. I couldn’t get rid of them through Settings –> Discussion. They just wouldn’t go away. But Andrewcpht’s suggesion of going into the edit screen worked. Thank you both.
