  I have recently topped 10000 viewers to my blogs. When I was looking at the statistics it was as below

  Title – Views
  Active Power, Reactive Power and Power Factor – 4,993
  Home page / Archives – 2,129
  Swaras, Swarasthanas and Sruthis – 642
  “Reactive Power – A Strange Concept” – 363, etc.
  I wish to know, what the item ‘Home page / Archives – 2,129’ means?

  It refers to users who visited http://lvnaga.wordpress.com rather than a specific post.

  When they visit ‘http://lvnaga.wordpress.com’ they will see my latest post. This may mean that there were 2129 vsists to my latest posts, whatever that was at that time. This will unnecessarily foul up our statistics. It should be rather counted as a visit to my latest blog at the time of every visit. WordPress should look into it. Or, is there anything I can do about it?

  I have changed my title page to ‘static’ and not the ‘latest post’. I think this will correct the problem. However the earlier statistics remain fouled. Thanks

  Hi there, not exactly, users who visited lvnaga.wordpress.com might have scrolled down to read multiple posts, not just the top one. That’s why it’s counted separately in the stats, as it’s not the same as visiting a specific post. You can find out more information about how the stats work here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/stats/

  Experiment with it, but you might find that your visitors don’t click through to the individual blog posts.
