Could you please explain how the number of views on a blog can decrease. Just a few minutes ago my total views reduced by at least 5000. How can this happen?

We have seen a handful of random reports on this issue throughout the forums, but we haven’t been able to pinpoint the cause just yet. Are you checking your stats from the same device (as opposed to mobile vs. desktop)? Also, have you noticed this multiple times or just once? Just trying to get an idea of the regularity!

Out of curiosity, have you ever noticed it from the same device? So, for example, when you check it within a short period on your Surface Pro, have the stats decreased?

I first noticed the decrease on my daily hit when my Windows phone. I then subsequently noticed on my surface pro that all time hits were going up and down regularly. Currently the views show for yesterday are different when looking at the new stats format and then the old stats format. The old stats format is significantly less

Thanks for the additional details! We did have some stats issues, but we’ve recently pushed out a few updates that should fix the issue. Could you let me know if you’re continuing to have trouble and notice discrepancies?
