statistics

Suddenly, the visit data in the statistic no longer appears. What can I do? Thanks for any advice.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
Do you mean that when you go to My Site > Statistics, nothing appears?
Or do you mean that there is a feature on your site which displays the statistics, but this is no longer appearing? If it’s the first one, following these steps might help:
- Log out of WordPress and log back in
- Use a different browser (if there’s one available)
- Clear cache and cookies
- Disable browser extensions
- Update your browser(s)
- Use a different device (if there’s one available)
Ask if you’re not sure how to do any of those steps.
If it’s the second one, try going to the Customiser at My Site > Design > Customise > Widgets. It will be called a Blog Stats Widget. Check that the widget is set up correctly.
https://wordpress.com/support/widgets/blog-stats-widgetIf that doesn’t solve it, please could you tell us the URL of the site you’re trying to see stats for, and explain in further detail what’s going on?
If it’s the second one, could you possibly also tell us the name of the theme you’re using, and if you’ve changed the theme recently?Just so you know, this forum is for WordPress.com sites. If you use WordPress.org, you’ll actually need to go to https://wordpress.org/support/forums for support.
https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org/ explains the difference. -
First of all, thanks for the assistance. My blog is this: https://granfoffo.wordpress.com/ The statistics page appears, but does not record the visits. I also did some tests with some friends. It seems that it only registers “likes”. Sorry for my translator’s English !!

Hmm, that is odd. I’m not sure how to fix this, but the thread has already been tagged for staff attention, so they might be able to offer a solution.
I’m going to have a look for threads where users have had similar issues. -
-
These threads might explain it:
https://wordpress.com/forums/topic/sudden-problem-with-statistics-counting/ (this one’s quite old though)
https://wordpress.com/forums/topic/views-60/
https://wordpress.com/forums/topic/statistics-are-not-working-wordpress-analytics-are-not-working-on-my-site/I think the main thing to remember is that visitor counts seem to update every few hours, which could be why you aren’t seeing any changes.
How long has this been going on for? -
-
Two other things I noticed: 1, it looks as if when you like a post in the Reader, it doesn’t count the view, and 2, some browsers have built-in ‘tracker blockers’ which mean that views don’t get counted. That could be something to do with it.
When you’ve done the tests, have you liked the post via the Reader, or on the actual site? -
On the site directly. I asked people who normally visit the site and leave a trace to do tests. Even from this other blog of mine https://enigmisticaperesperti.wordpress.com/, not yet public I left a trace, now not anymore. Can’t you do a test to see if the visit is counted? Thank you!
-
I’ve just liked the top post (https://granfoffo.wordpress.com/2020/08/11/diretta-fb-con-lautrice/) as a test. Though I’m not sure if my browser is one of those which has the tracker blocker built in, and if it does I’m not sure how to change that.
-
I think the visit will take a while to be counted, anyway; if it does count, I think it will take at least a few hours for the visit to show on the stats page.
-
OK it’s gone! Otra I’ll try to do some tests with friends. Could they all be with tracking blocks? Thanks a lot anyway.
-
I’m not sure which browsers have tracking blocks built in, but from the sounds of things they’re quite common nowadays (or at least a lot more common than they used to be) so it’s possible.
