I have a public site but am, convinced my stats are showing my own admin visits? I have checked it is public
Any tips? -
Hi there!
The stats will not count your own visits as long as you’re logged into your WordPress.com account when checking your site.
What’s the address of the site you’re working on?Please note that these forums are for WordPress.com hosted sites only. If your site is using the open-source WordPress.org software, we won’t be able to help you out and you’ll want to seek help at these forums:

As long as you are logged in to your site as the admin, your visits will not be counted in stats. However if you visit your site in a different browser (one where you are not also logged in to WordPress.com) we can’t tell you are logged in so we count that as an anonymous visit.
As well, if you visit your site via a “private” or “incognito” window that will also make you appear to be an anonymous visitor, so that is counted as a “visit” in your stats. Also, do you happen to have a browser that shows a preview of your site before you click on it? I have seen a case where someone’s preview was counted as a visit.
