Statistics and domain name change?

  Hi everybody. I would like to change my blog to a professional blog (I mean to avoid the wordpress part in the domain). My current name is http://carindustryanalysis.wordpress.com/ but I would like to know if it is possible to change it into fiatgroupworld.com.

  If I change the name do I lose all statistics and visits I’ve had so far? what about the content? by paying $18/year can I have that name?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  No – the stats stay with the base blog

  Content stays – you just change the name people see when they visit – you will still log into the same blog Dashboard that you do now

  That domain looks to be available – yes $ 18.– / year should do it

  What about the link I use now to comunicate others about my blog:

  http://carindustryanalysis.wordpress.com/

  When changing the name, that link doesn’t work anymore? (I have used that link in many CV I have sent)

  The old links AND the new links will both work – nothing to worry about there
