Statistics Problem?

    Has there been a problem with the stars recently? On average for the past few weeks I’ve been getting around 400 hits to my site everyday, for the past 5 days I’ve been roughly 1,500 hits everyday. That seems a sudden increase for such a prolonged amount of time.

    Has anyone else experienced this, or am I actually seeing that much traffic? Previous to that, my highest ever daily hits was around 800, my highest ever is now 2,239 recorded yesterday.

    Staff have been working on the ratings feature. https://en.forums.wordpress.com/tags/ratings-are-gone I do not know if that’s connected to your traffic increase or not. I had a day when my stats soared due to a spam referrer. I have also had days when they soared dour to a post being stumbled. Others have had a sudden spike in stats due to a post being Freshly Pressed. I can’t help you with this and Staff have deactivated the support link until early Monday, September 12th (UTC) when you can use it to contact them.
