That was poorly worded. What I mean is: Is it possible to find out how many times a post has been read? I do not mean that I want to count WordPress readers. Just delete that part about WordPress. :-)

Yes: you find that post listed on your Stats page and click the graph to the right of it. That’ll give you the whole stats for that particular post.

If you go to top posts and pages and then click on “all time” you can sort of get that, but it does not guarantee that everyone read it, just that the page was accessed and the stats recorded it. People may have read it, read part of it, or clicked away before reading it.

To Raincoaster: You said: ”Yes: you find that post listed on your Stats page and click the graph to the right of it. That’ll give you the whole stats for that particular post. “
I went to the bottom of my Dash page and found some stars, but what I see does not correspond to what you described. Is the Stats page on the Dashboard? Lost am I.

Oh……. I just now looked up at the My Account link and see that there is a link called STATS. So that is where I will go right now.

I am in the Stats page. I have to admit, it’s ot that easy to understand. I think that anyone who wrote it understands it, but not everyone knows what ”Referrers“ means, or Search ….
Under Blog Stats it says: Views today: 5 What does that 5 refer to? I didn’t look at these blog stats 5 times today.
I think that if all the terms used were defined, it would go a long way to making those stats helpful.
If the writer would ask a rank beginner, “Do you understand this?” it might be a big help.

You can just do a search of the forums, or use the Stats tag in the sidebar, in the forum tag cloud. These things have been defined and explained in the forums many times before.

@lornakismet-Many of your questions are answered in the Support Docs, which I heartily recommend searching first. http://support.wordpress.com/stats/
