Has anyone tried GoStats.com? I just installed it on my blog (I had heard about it) to see if it was as good as someone said it was. Well, was I surprised at the info it provides. On the summary page, it provides page views, how many IP hots, unique visitors, unique sessions, page views per visitors, sessions per visitor and visitors per IP host. It has graphs detailing the last 30 days (but since I only installed it, there really is nothing for me to look at yet). It also lists last guests by country, IP host, unique visitor and & unique session with their IP address (though I don’t know why I need people’s IP address) — and on this page, it shows where on the blog they’ve been. They have where people have been referred from but that requires java script so it’s not available to me as a WP.Com user. I’ve been able to see the page popularity since I’ve installed it. It shows the count, percentage per pages viewed and a bar graph. Visitor path, page entries, page exits, depth (I don’t know what that is), operating systems of readers (how many readers used what operating system), and a breakdown of IP addresses and how many times they’ve been on the blog. All this is the free stuff. There is other information people can get if they pay for the upgrade.
Just wondering if anyone has tried it. I did a search for it here on the forums but did not find anything. I have it on my blog right now. You have to put their link on your side bar but it’s really small and not a big deal. They will also mail you a week report of your blog’s activity that includes a lot of the above info.
It’s obviously not java script otherwise I couldn’t put it on my blog — with java script there is other free info that would be available. But that’s a lot of info as it is.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Interesting. Yes, that’s the most thorough reporting I’ve heard of on a WP.com blog. I’ll be looking into it. Thanks.

I haven’t tried it but I’ll be looking into it as well. From what you say it delivers alittle more than what I have been getting. Is it free?

I just added it to my other blog. Under the same account, you can have multiple blogs. Once you put the code on your blog, it tracks it.
LOL Raincoaster. The other stuff is clicks, time spent on site, languages, countries, cities, search engines used to land on your blog, search phrases, — stuff like that — things that I really did not look at since I did not pay for an upgrade. I would not even know what to do with all that info. I haven’t even been blogging for a year yet. I don’t even know what to do with all the info that I do get — but it’s nice to know.

GetClicky.com also has a good non-Javascript alternative. The Javascript alternative, which I use on my .org blog is simply awesome.

Thank you for sharing this tishrei. Could someone help me with it? I have got as far as getting the code ready to install on my blog, but I don’t know how/where to actually paste it in? Thanks very much.

Not to worry – I think I worked it out. (Pasted code into text widget – hope that’s right). Thanks anyway.

Hmm cool stats but the site is listed as orange in Web of Trust for spam/adware. Oh well.

It just means the website is questionable but I notice the ratings are old, so ignore the ratings.
