  I only started my blog yesterday and am a complete novice. My stats show no visitors which is what i’d expect after such a short time, but i have statcounter on my blog and that shows that Googlebot visited my blog today as did Amazon. Do these not show on WordPress stats? or is there a problem with my stats. I hope i make sense. Thank you.

  No there is not problem at all.

  The following are not counted:
  * Visits from registered users of the blog when they are logged in.
  * Visits to uploaded documents and files
  * Visits from browsers that do not execute javascript or load images.
  * GoogleBot and other search engine spiders.
