Stats

My stats are not reading properly, views under Top Posts and Pages. It seems it is stuck on a post. I’m getting likes on one post and the views read on an old post.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi John,
Can you send me the links to which posts appear to be getting confused? I can dig into it a little more to find an explanation.
Thanks!

Hello Brandon,
Thanks for your help! This link shows it’s getting all the traffic http://johnzeus.com/2013/02/15/training-five-stages-of-team-development/.
It should be this link http://johnzeus.com/2013/10/12/power-your-future-green-photo-by-john-zeus-national-geographic/ according to the likes yet this link has been showing to get no views.
I also wonder if it’s happening anywhere else.
Again I appreciate your help. -
Thanks John. I’m researching further. In my initial tests, I triggered a view to the “Power Your Future” post, so that appears to be working.
The four links currently on the page, when did you see those come through?
-
Thanks Brandon, I think I saw those come through on the 12th of October when I published the photo. My last post http://johnzeus.com/2013/10/10/photo-clouds-reflected-in-the-lake/ did the same thing where the views populated the http://johnzeus.com/2013/02/15/training-five-stages-of-team-development/ (same) page.

Hi John,
I can’t duplicate the stats being misapplied to the wrong post. One possibility is if folks are viewing your post via the Reader at http://wordpress.com, it won’t trigger a “view” unless they view the “pop-up” version of the post by clicking on the Comments bubble. Since folks can still click Like without reading the full post, that could explain how some posts have been Liked without a view recorded, if that makes sense.
Does that seem feasible to you?
-
Hi Brandon,
That makes sense. Thank you for your help. I just didn’t know why it picked that post (stages of team development) in particular to populate. I’ll let you know how it reacts on my next blog post.
Thanks again for your help and I hope you have a great day!
