Stats are broken
-
Hey, I have made a gaming blog a couple of months ago and last month I used to get a lot of views and now I’m getting none. I would like to know if staff could look at my stats, I think they are not working.
I write a lot of good posts on my blog and I post at least 2 times a week?
So I think my stats are not working. No one replied to my last one.

Is there a way I could contact staff by email because no one even replies back. I’ve been waiting for hours.

Our stats are not real time stats and take time to update. There are frequent fluctuations that most do not notice because we aren’t watching the process. For details see here http://en.support.wordpress.com/stats/ and note the views and viewers take hours to update.
Our stats are page view stats. But please do not assume that everyone who clicks a follow, like, share, reblog or comment link actually reads the post on your blog because odds are they may not.
Follow, like, share, reblog or comment clicks are not page views. In fact, follows, likes, shares, comments and reblogs are completely misleading when you are talking about page view stats.
Your followers and anyone with a WordPress.com/Gravatar account who is logged into WordPress.com can “follow” your blog, “like”, “share” and “reblog” your posts and “comment” in several locations such as the Reader, without ever clicking into your blog and creating a single page view stat. Subscribers control how frequently they receive your posts (instantly, daily, weekly) and can comment without clicking into the blog.
Logged in visitors using a mobile can read the full post without creating a page view stat. https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/wordpresscom-reader-show-full-text?replies=31#post-1373606
You can control the length of the entry sent out on your RSS feed here Dashboard > Settings > Reading. Choose the “summary” setting for your RSS feed rather than to “full text”. That will compel followers who are not using mobiles to click into the blog to read the full post which will create a page view stat.
If you are sure your stats need to be investigated then you need to be specific and post details here so Staff know exactly which stats you are referring to when they get to this thread. You also need to type modlook into the sidebar tags on this thread to get Staff attention.
You can post screenshots and share them with Staff. You can use http://snag.gy/ to share screenshots. Or you can use the WordPress.com guide I linked to and upload it to your Media Library, and return to this thread to provide the file name so Staff can examine it.

Thank You Timethief, I have uploaded two pictures of the stats to my media library, so WordPress can look at the pictures.

I really need staff here now because I’ve been waiting since yesterday and everyone else is having they questions answered.
-
You are still waiting because there are pages of threads that Staff has to answer before they get to this thread. It’s in your best interest to sop posting here and moving the timestamp ahead because doing that means you will wait even longer.

@jordan1351, I had the same problem yesterday (with a question about stats, and waiting forever for a response.) I created another forum topic to receive an answer, and it seems that you received the exact same answer…exact wording, from the same member. I hope you get an answer soon…

Hi @jordan1351,
I’ve looked at your stats, and while I do see you’ve had a small decrease in viewers this month compared to last month, I don’t see any evidence of a problem with your stats.
Just keep writing great stuff and sharing links to it in your social media networks, and you’ll be fine.
It’s also useful for you to know that in the forums especially staff and volunteers seek out threads with no replies when we are looking for the next person to help, as it’s our best indication that the question hasn’t been handled. I know it’s hard to be patient, but when you post on your own thread it actually makes it harder for us to find you :)
