Stats disappeared after upgrading to Jetpack

  The stats for http://www.fontlife.com/ have reset to today only. This site is several years old and all of my historical data is gone. I had to uninstall and reinstall jetpack today. Fontlife.com is my base domain. All other domains running in this multiuser site are fine. Only the base domain is impacted. Can my stats be restored?

  Hi there,

  I apologize for my earlier e-mail/response. However, it sounds like you recently installed Jetpack to your site. Is that correct?

  If so, Jetpack automatically de-activates WordPress Stats. Unfortunately, there is currently no way to restore WordPress Stats after installing Jetpack.

  However, if this isn’t what you’re referring to, please let me know and we would be happy to troubleshoot some more. Thanks!

  Jetpack is connected to my account or at least is reporting itself to be. After I installed Jetpack, all of my domains retained their complete historical stats except for the primary domain. The primary domains stats were reset somehow. I can’t explain what happened, all I know is that now after several years, all of the stats for fontlife.com have been reduced to last two days.

  Can you let me know if this is the first time you’ve installed and activated Jetpack for your fontlife.com domain, as well as your other sites?

  No, it’s not the first time. Here’s what I did:

  1. I installed Jetpack with network activate
  2. Went to each domain to connect to WordPress.com
  3. Really didn’t like Jetpack and wanted to retreat to wpstats.
  4. Uninstalled Jetpack, reinstalled wpstats. Found out wpstats had been disabled.
  5. Uninstalled wpstats, reinstalled Jetpack. Network activated
  6. Went to each domain to reconnect to WordPress.com
  7. Primary domain–stats disappeared
  8. All other domains are fine.

  At any time during that process, did you change the domain or overall URL of the primary site?

  No macmanx, I did not. I’ve had the same url with the same hosting company for over 10 years.
