Stats for videos played

  The stats page has a place to show videos played, but mine never shows any. And I’ve posted lots of videos that have gotten comments from people who obviously played the video. I’m just wondering why that counter is there if it never shows anything.

  Hi @windwhistle,

  Do you upload the videos to WordPress, or do you embed a YouTube (or Vimeo, etc.) video?

  Clicks to play a YouTube video aren’t recorded in WordPress stats, but instead appear in YouTube stats. That is because the video ‘lives’ in YouTube, not WordPress.

  Let me know if that’s the case – if not, can you provide a link to a page on your site with an uploaded video?

  Oh, I see. No, I just embed them from YouTube and Vimeo.
