Stats have never worked.
-
Hi,
I’m still awaiting a response to my last support request. Stats are installed, connected with my wordpress.com account, say that they are working correctly – but I have apparently never had a visitor to my blog. The stats are not registering visitors at all. Please help.

Howdy,
Could you disable all of your plugins and reactivate Jetpack?
Also make sure you are running the latest versions of WordPress and Jetpack:

Thanks for the reply. I tried this to no avail – It did register one visit, but just the one and no others. I’ve been testing by visiting on different browsers and with different IP addresses.
I am running the latest WordPress and Jetpack, using the latest version of the 2011 template and my styles are located in a child theme.
Any other suggestions?

Sorry, I’ve just realised I’m not using the 2011 theme at all, I’m using the ‘Boilerplate’ theme: http://aarontgrogg.com/boilerplate/

I can also see in Firebug, that the stats JS file is being loaded correctly:

Could you make sure your stats are set to the correct timezone? I was able to see my own visit to your site registered as a visit for yesterday, the 23rd, when viewing your stats.
If that doesn’t help, would it be possible for you to try using the Twenty Eleven theme temporarily so we can make sure that a theme conflict isn’t causing this problem for you?

The timezone in the general settings is correct – I could only see one visit registered in the stats for yesterday, but I don’t think that was you, I said in my original post that one visit had been registered – no more had appeared.
I switched to Twenty Eleven and the stats seemed to work, but it’s a live site so I can’t keep that theme active. I’ll have to have a look at both themes and see if I can find what’s different.
Can you let me know exactly what files need to be loaded for the stats to function correctly? -
Typically, the most important part of a theme in terms of compatibility with Jetpack is having wp_footer() in the footer.php.
If you have Firefox installed, I’d recommend using the Firebug add-on to see if there’s anything preventing the page from fully loading.
If you’d like, we can also take a look at your theme itself by sending the file to us via email and referencing this post in the subject.
