Stats history connected to wrong account
-
I’ve had WP stats running on my main site (http://spigotdesign.com/) for nearly two years. A few days ago I started a blog on a subdomain (http://otg.spigotdesign.com) and after activating Jetpack, the stats from my main domain are now associated with the new subdomain site. The main site has started stats over from three days ago.
Is there any way to swap these back around?
Thanks,
~ Bryan

There’s not a way to sync them at the moment, but we’d like to make a tool so we can combine them in the future. Can you confirm these are the old and new stats that should be combined later if we can?
Old: https://dashboard.wordpress.com/wp-admin/index.php?page=stats&blog=5893630
New: https://dashboard.wordpress.com/wp-admin/index.php?page=stats&blog=28094604 -

I don’t actually want to sync these two, I’d like to swap the stats that are associated with each…
So, the stats that are attached to the ‘Old’ above should actually be the stats that are on the ‘New.’
Does that make sense?
Thanks so much for your quick help,

Ah, I see. There’s not a way to swap stats once they are set, but if you completely uninstall Jetpack and delete the plugin entirely, then make sure to clear server side caching if you have any, and then re-install Jetpack, you should be able to get the stats to start registering properly with each separate site from this point forward.

Thanks for your help… I tried uninstalling/deleting/reinstalling on both sites, but the stats are the same.
Oh, well, it’s no big deal really. I should have paid more attention when there were token errors while setting up the subdomain site.
Thanks again, perhaps when you get the sync tool working I’ll do that.

It still sounds to me like syncing is what you want, i.e. combine the 5893630 stats into 28094604 and then continue measuring otg.spigotdesign.com stats in 5893630 and spigotdesign.com in 28094604 for the future. Does that sound right?

Well, that’s close… the stats that are showing up in 5893630 should be associated with spigotdesign.com, so I’d like to measure spigotdesign.com in 5893630, not 28094604.
I wonder if we’re talking about the same thing from different angles…

Probably! Ha. :) Mixed stats can get confusing. I’ll file this to respond to if we are able to get a tool in place to combine the stats for you at a later date.

Great, thanks!
So there’s no way currently to go through the database and just swap those two numbers around? Sorry if I’m being dense here…
