Stats iframe being blocked, HTTP vs HTTPs issue

When viewing the page https://en.wordpress.com/stats/ the iframe with SparkleMotion live stats is being blocked by Google Chrome (v.37.0.2062.94 – running in Incognito mode). It works ok on Safari (v.7.0.6), though.

This is the error message in Console:

[blocked] The page at ‘https://en.wordpress.com/stats/’ was loaded over HTTPS, but ran insecure content from ‘http://automattic.com/wp-content/themes/a8c/automattic-2011/plugins/sparklemotion/index.html’: this content should also be loaded over HTTPS.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • It’s Chrome’s standard way of making sure that a secure site won’t load an insecure site in an iframe, something that Safari seems to handle differently.

Of course you could just go to the http version of the page, and then there shouldn’t be a problem: http://en.wordpress.com/stats/
