Stats issue

  So a month ago I had 200 views in one day on an old post (6 months old) which raised a red flag due to when it was published.

  Now today I had 466 views on another old post (7 months), and it screams something is a miss.

  I dont know what this is, i feel like it is a spammer, but it is seriously annoying as it is affecting the numbers i have on my stats like daily views and what not.

  Does anyone know what this is? Or what can be done about things like this. All i know is the views are coming from the US and usually focus on 1 post only over a 24-48 hour period and then it stops.

  That’s not spam. That sounds like a legitimately viral post. They have a very short half-life. The answer is probably in your referrers stats.

  That would be nice! But i feel like it is not legit somehow. The referrer is saying they are coming through from Facebook, but the page i have for my site (where i share links to) doesnt have 500 likes yet so not sure how i have so many referrers for one post. I don’t know. I will keep an eye on it, to see what is going on over the next 24 hours.
