Stats issues

I’m having issues with the new version of the site stats. The most serious one is that I can view the stats for my two most recent posts, both of which were created after the stats update:

A less serious issue is that when I want to see stats for all posts for any given range (I’ve seen it for week and year ranges), it displays the wrong stats. I’m not sure what stats it is displaying but it is greater than a day and less than a week.

Can the stats be reverted to the previous version until these bugs are fixed?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I am having issues too. Can you view your stats for the full year of 2023? It brings up a top 10 for me that looks correct but when I click “View all”, the figures that come up are from a much smaller period (probably a couple of weeks).

Just came here to report the exact same issue. When I view the traffic for all of 2024 it shows me what I assume is the correct stats with a top 10 posts traffic listing that tracks with the monthly traffic. But when I click on “View All” at the bottom of the “Posts & Pages” column it shows a completely different (and much lower) set of numbers for everything including the top 10. At first I was seeing this problem only when using the web browser on my laptop but now it’s cropping up from time to time on the iPhone app as well (though at this moment it is behaving itself on the phone app).

Not sure what problem the new version of stats was supposed to fix but it seems to have caused new ones. Any word on an ETA for a fix?

    Hello there,

just to say that the new version of the stats brings nothing. In fact, daily reading has become more difficult ! Previously, it was easy to read the daily statistics …

Agreed. And moving from one view to another is also a giant pain now. If you click to see the stats for the current day you can’t go directly to a week or month or year view anymore.

WordPress.com: please don’t make changes just to make changes.

There was another thread about “stats not updating” in December which is closed to comments now. For some reason, Jetpack is the default plug in for stats tight now. We can’t disable it unless we have a Business plan. I want the ability to disable it. I have a Premium plan.

I am still having the “View All” issue, which is quite annoying. I was able to get my 2024 stats by looking at the “last 365 days” view on Jan 1st, but obviously I can’t go back to that.

Also, I still am not able to see the stats for any of my recent posts, which is a critical failure.

I am glad to see others share my opinion of the state of “Stats”. It is totally useless.

Today’s results: Total views 284. But one post shows over 13,000 views and “Archive” at over 3000 views. The next two posts at 2192 views and 1533 views. Is there no one wt WordPress in charge? An admin is definitely needed to fix this mess.

Just commenting to say I’ve noticed an issue as well on a new website I recently started – wwebb.co

The issue is stats is not showing me how many downloads my pdf files are getting. I just bumped it up to the Business plan. Previously before I got on the Business plan, the Jetpack app was showing me this information. Now it is not, and I’m not seeing it in my Firefox browser either when I’m on my laptop. I’m not sure if upgrading to the Business plan has anything to do with this or not. It’s frustrating because it was fun to see how many people were downloading my daily trends reports.

any word on if/when this will ever be looked at?

I just want to add something that might be of interest here. Jetpack as we know is the default plug in for stats. Jetpack is also Blaze, the place where you can promote a blog post, like an advertisement. Jetpack is has been trying to take over WordPress for a long time. Now this is stopping. We will see much less of Jetpack this year. I had to use Blaze for one whole year to make things go the right way. I am not using Blaze anymore but I did last week. I know things will be returning to normal very soon. I am a powerful Universe Healer so I know this. I am sure WordPress understands this too. Jetpack is not a good company for us, no matter how hard it tries. It is way too negative and is getting purged by our Universe.

While I am still having the “View All” issue, that stats for recent posts has been resolved. So it seems like they are working on this.

Finally, just to clarify, what is the purpose of the new version of the stats ?

    I didn’t quite understand…

It stopped showing yesterday’s stats. They are still messing with it. And they are changing other sections too. The posts and pages sections looks like it did 10 years ago. Word Press is going retro.
