Stats listing all views as one visitor
-
I just launched my blog and as more people were coming to it I noticed that the stat “views” number kept increasing but the “visitor” number stayed at 1. How can I see how many different people are viewing my site?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

So far, the only thing we know for sure is that you had 1 visitor who viewed 77 pages.
Stats aren’t an exact science. We can only report on the information provided to us by the visiting browsers.
Either these views are from more than 1 visitor, but we only got enough info to identify one of them as a distinct individual, or it really is 1 person digging through all the pages on your blog.

Also, this could be a new search engine crawler that we haven’t identified yet, which seems likely since you gained 10 more views from the same visitor since I started writing the last reply.

It’s definitely different viewers, as I’m in contact with several people who have viewed the page. I linked directly to my blog on facebook, so I’m afraid that somehow that might be the problem but I’m not sure what I can do differently to avoid it. Any tips would be much appreciated. Thank you for your help!

Hm, Facebook could be proxying the connection for them, essentially displaying the blog in their view, thus making Facebook the only visitor.
I do see you have 9 visitors now though, so things are looking up. :)
