Stats loss with migration

We moved from wordpress.com to wordpress.org and lost all stats in the process. We use Jetpack and thought they’d stay with the site. Is this a setting or something that is needs an update of some sort to restore?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hi Amanda – if you used the WordPress Export and Import tools to move your content, I can combine the stats on your old site with the new one.

If you did that, can you please confirm which of your old sites the http://grizzlybomb.com/ content was moved from?

Also, please let me know if you would like me to move all your followers to the new site, as well. :)

    Thanks!
Yes we did use the export/import tools. The old site is thegrizzlybomb, the one with 1,864 posts as opposed to the new grizzlybomb.
We would love for followers to be moved as well.

One other quick question. Our new site is just grizzlybomb.com. If we go into the settings and change that to http://www.grizzlybomb.com will that break all previous links?

Thanks so much for your help.

  • Hi Amanda – I can take care of that, but I just realized you are not listed as the actual site owner. I’d need the owner (Brian) to write in from his own account and request that we move the subscribers and merge the stats. Can you have him do that?

As far as the www, as long as your permalinks have the same structure as they did on WordPress.com, it should be fine.
