Stats mismatch

  why don’t my site stats match my bit.ly stats? On 10/10 my bit.ly account shows 60 clicks on different posts (we post the link on our FB/Twitter/etc., but the dashboard shows 12 views.

  People here can view posts in their Reader, without ever visiting the actual posts.

  But how would it show as a click on on my bit.ly link? Someone has to physically click my link in order for bit.ly to count it — when they click it goes to the post, which should then register as a view on the blog, no?
