stats not available

why are stats unavailable today?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)
-
I’d be happy to help with the stats issue, but I’ll need a bit more information:
- Could you share a screenshot of what you’re seeing when trying to access stats?
- Which stats page are you trying to view? (e.g., site stats, post stats)
- What error message, if any, appears?
This will help me provide the most accurate assistance.
-
Yes I see what you mean. I have had views and visitors today as usual but today doesn’t seem to exist??

Right. Same thing. Date goes to the 2nd. Have to manually set the date to see the 3rd then resets to the 2nd. Never happened before. Been here almost 11 years. http://www.firsthealer.com

Everything is back to normal. Stats are showing current date and back 30 days. Someone must have fixed the glitch. Thank you.

Stats are being messed with again. Stop messing it up. I don’t want your stupid Jet Pack App. I want stats to stay the way they were. Get away from my website. Get real Jet Pack. I pay for my site. I am not a freebie. I’m going to complain about you too customer service. Been here 11 years. I did not ask you to do my stats differently. Go away.
-
Yeah, not a fan of how stats suddenly look different as of a few hours ago. It was fine just the way it was. I hope this is just a momentary glitch and not a permanent change.
-
same for me, geez… what’s the point of messing around with a perfectly good feature, only to make it worse?
-
I got a response from a Happiness Engineer. I’ll post it below:
Hi there!
I prefer date range to be 30 days. It has been 30 days for as long as I can remember. Unfortunately the setting keeps changing. It is not staying there between visits.
You’re right. I’ve been testing it out and it looks like the settings aren’t being recorded for future visits.
I wouldn’t say this is a way to push Jetpack stats, though. For context, this is related to a recent change in the way we handle this stats screen. We used to have our own way of displaying them here on WordPress.com, and now we’re getting closer to what you’d see on a site using the standalone module of Jetpack Stats.
That said, what you shared with us is a really nice suggestion for our developers so I have sent it to them as a feature request. Hopefully they will be able to implement it in a future release :)
I hope it clarifies the situation a bit, but please let me know if you have any further questions. And thanks!Adrián G.

I prefer to get rid of Jetpack Stats entirely and go back to the original WordPress way. I have been with WordPress 11 years! This never happened before. I disagree with Adrian. It does look like a ploy to use their app instead. I tried their (Jetback) app for stats and did not like it. I can always tell when something is not good. I don’t want my paid for website on an app.
-
My stats keep jumping to hourly. I don’t want that. If I try to see daily stats from a week, for example, it shows me stats for the week, but not per day. If I try for a day, it jumps to hourly — then tells me no hourly is available!! I want stats for (as an example) Monday and Tuesday of this week. Won’t do it. Whoever fiddle with the latest stats mechanism goofed. And it’s stressing me out. I’m somewhat consoled in reading these posts that it’s not just me!! Hoping your “fix” is coming SOON!
-
I feel like the problem is not getting better. They seem to think that they are making things better. That’s what Adrian (The Happiness Engineer above) said. They are stuck in a negative mindset about all of this too. Thank goodness I am not using the Jetpack app. I will follow up with Adrian now. I just wanted to share what they are doing on purpose. It is not a glitch.
-
I sent this email to Adrian just now:
I disagree with you Adrian. We are not happy with the so-called changes. Someone from WordPress needs to read the responses in the thread below and realize something really bad is going on.

The new way of displaying stats is doubleplus ungood. I hope that the original functionality is restored soon. The current situation is clunky and awful and requires more clicks. Who needs to have an hourly measure of hits on a blog?
-
Agreed. Really dislike the new way of viewing stats. It’s not useful/functional at all. Why “fix” something that wasn’t broken?
-
I agree with this completely. The old Stats page was perfectly fine. I like the month view, but it keeps resetting to a week view. And trying to compare statistics for different days is now a nightmare. Put it back the way it was!
