stats not available

When the Happiness Engineers stop responding it usually means “tough luck, the powers decided this, nothing we can do about it.” I also like the monthly view, but it looks like whatever view you set it to, you have to keep inputting a date range to get it to update. What used to be automatic, is now a clunky reset operation every day. I can’t think of what user type this is better for. It is certainly not me.

This forum thread is flagged for Staff attention. In the meantime, this announcement might provide some insights while we’re waiting https://jetpack.com/blog/jetpack-stats-enhanced-date-filtering-for-your-stats-traffic-page/
So, essentially you would like to set a “default” view that you can return to?

A default view would be nice, but the previous default view was perfect. Stats used to show the last 14 (?) days side by side with the option to switch to a yearly or monthly view. Now, there is no way to see a daily view unless you want to see hour-by-hour stats, which isn’t very useful. When clicking the dropdown menu on the upper righthand side of the stats graph and choosing “daily,” the graph portion changes back to the day-to-day view, but only for the past seven day. And, the actual numbers below the graph show the stats for the whole week… not just the selected day. This is very confusing and not user-friendly at all. Furthermore, in this “daily” view, the “posts & pages” stats underneath are for the entire 7-day period. I would like to be able to view a daily view with accurate stats represented below it… just as the stats were prior to this switch.
Also, the map is messed up. I currently have stats from dozens of countries but the only one showing up on the map is the United States. Basically, this all feels very, very buggy and confusing.

I would say that absolutely none of those “enhanced” features are useful to me. They are just more clicks to look at the same information in less convenient and intuitive ways.
-
I absolutely agree.
Even if they don’t change the hourly views, I would like the option to be able to look at daily views in the ‘views’ tab alongside the other days like it used to be, which would be a nice middle ground without reversing to the old format.
So many of the changes over the past few years have lessened user experience, but this one is the worst of all since checking the stats page is such an essential part of my day over the past few years and this ruins the simple experience but adding so many unnecessary clicks and options which are not needed.
I am hoping it will be like when they removed the option to open the posts from the stats page, WordPress listened and added that feature back.

Now it seems I’m completely unable to toggle my stats view between monthly/daily/yearly, meaning it’s impossible to see days or months listed next to each other for comparison? This seriously sucks and is borderline useless. Everything was fine a week ago. Can’t we just revert back to that? All I can now see is an hourly view and this is not a useful way to view stats.

Jetpack is the default plug in for stats. We cannot disable it unless we have a Business plan. I have a Premium plan. Jetpack was not always here. It is fairly new. I would like to be offered the option to disable it. For me, simple is better. Less fuss and confusion.

I also have a premium plan. So this is part of a ploy to get us to upgrade to a Business plan? I am not running a business on WordPress.
