Stats not showing on Dashboard for this week

  Stats are not showing readership this week in the Dashboard but it is clear from emails that people are reading it. What happened to Stats this week?

  Hi there,

  After looking into your Site Stats, it seems like it is working properly. Currently, you had 5 views on March 10th. You didn’t have any viewers for a couple days before that, but nothing looks out of the ordinary.

  Please note that it may be possible to like your posts without actually having gone to your site via the WordPress.com Reader, so this could make it seem like your Site Stats aren’t accurate. :)

  I have asked people how they are reading the posts as they are responding to me via email showing knowledge of what I’ve written. They say they are reading them through the Reader function. This week I’ve heard from quite a few people about my blog as it was about cats, yet according to the Site Stats no one has read it.

  Please note that if they are reading your post via the Reader, it will not show up in your site stats. The Site stats take into consideration views and visitors. This means that your readers would have to go into your site and actually view it from there.

  A view is counted when a visitor loads or reloads a page on your site. A visitor is counted when we see a user or browser for the first time in a given period (day, week, month).
