stats not showing views

  Hi, According to my stats I haven’t had views since 5th Sept but I have had “likes” and a couple of follows. Any idea why this would be?

  For clarity likes and shares numbers are misleading when you are talking about page view stats. Your followers and anyone with a WordPress.com blog who is logged into WordPress.com can “like” and “share” your posts in several locations such as the Reader without ever clicking into your blog and creating a page view stat. Those who have username accounts only but no blog can become followers and click the “like” and/or “share” buttons.   Note: To compel readers to click into my blog to read the full post thereby creating a page view stat, I have set my RSS Feed for posts to “summary” on this page > Settings > Reading

  thanks for your advice. I have done what you have suggested – so wierd I have gone 6 days without a view when I normally get traffic nearly every day!

  I’m not saying this IS the case but the fact you’ve had no views could possibly mean your blog has been reported as ‘mature’ because you do have a F****** tag, and as a mature blog your posts would not appear in the Reader.

  But then again having said that, if that was the case it would mean your username wouldn’t be clickable here in the forum, and it is. I need a drink!!

  A mature blog – what’s that?! I’ve had the “F” tag since the beginning so not sure whether thats it? I think I just need to get one of my friends to test it out. Enjoy that drink giddygoat : ) and thank you for your response!

  Thanks for this thread. I’m very new to WordPress, so some of the directions involving the RSS feed are a bit fuzzy, but I will try it.

  Essentially you are saying people can not even read your blog and still like it? That’s…odd.

  Hi, no I’m saying people can like posts and follow without clicking into my blog and therefore creating a page view. Timethief has provided me with that explanation : )
