stats not updated the whole day

Hi. My blog stats have not been updated at all today…….and I was wondering if there was a problem.

It’s possible that you’ve loaded the stats for one specific day, so that’s all you’re going to see. Go back to blog stats and refresh what you’re looking at.

No my stats are not registering on Rhyming Yack, I’m getting comments but no visitors registered-problem there.

I’m with quirkyindian – the hit counter is definitely out of action. I racked up a mere 12 hits overnight – absolutely nothing at all since then, and that’s totally unheard of.
sensuouscurmudgeon – that’s simply not what’s happening, I’m afraid. I’m on the right page and there’s definitely a problem. I’ve even been out to use a friend’s computer to view several pages of my own blog. Came back, refreshed the Stats page, and got nothing.

Just a thought – once this is fixed, will we recover our lost hits, I wonder, or will they be gone for ever? That’s a prospect that doesn’t thrill me.
As to why I didn’t just phone my friend and get him to visit my blog, all I can say is – Doh!

Hmm, I got an extremely small amount of views today too, but I thought it was just because my friends were all out partying tonight. I’m hoping it’s a wordpress problem :(

sensuouscurmudgeon: no, that’s not the problem….I think, as ronsrealm says, the counter’s out.
So what does one do? Does WP help fix the problem? How does one tell them that there is a problem, assuming they don’t already know it?

I’ve reported it to WP – dunno if just posting here gets their attention or not. Looking at other threads, I think maybe not.

It is their problem, incidentally. There’s nothing we, as users, can do.

Stats are most definitely on a go-slow. Well, more of a no-show than a go-slow. It’s quite distressing and I need a beer or two because of it. Any excuse.
