stats not working for nearly a week

  My stats and hit counter show absolutely no traffic at all for the past six days, which i know is not the case. Can anyone suggest a fix? I contacted support but haven’t heard anything.

  It’s been the weekend, so it may be tomorrow before you hear back from staff, but they are the only ones who can investigate it.

  Mine went from an average of 8500 daily hits to eleven for today, (Monday, the 24th.)

  So yes, something is definately amiss.

  After some researching, I found that if you are using the WordPress.com stats plugin on your self-hosting WP blog, that eventually the Stats will fail and never come back.

  But if you create a new WordPress.com account with a new API, it will ‘magically’ start working again.

  I guess I am going to have to come up with another alternative then.

  @djallyn, then there is an issue somehow with your setup or a random glitch with your acount. I have friends that have had the stats plugin on their self-hosted blog for three years or more and have never had a failure of any sort.

  Contact staff and let them take a look. This simply does not normally happen. http://support.wordpress.com/contact/ .
