stats problem?
-
Hello again, I know that my blog is in a slow period now, but, all of a sudden, my stats have gone to zero and stayed there when they have been slow and steady for some time now. Could it be something I downloaded like the Flash Player or Shockwave?
-
The stats clicked over to zero for everyone about three hours ago, and started counting the new day’s hits then. Might that be it?

It is the weekend and weekends are typically pretty dead. If you have maybe 20 readers on a weekday, I’d say it’s possible that they’re skipping it for the weekend and will be back Monday.
But leave a link here. I’m going out for a run but when I come back, provided my computer feels like working, I’ll click it and then we can confirm once and for all if you’re not getting your proper stats. Then you will be able to report it on Monday when support reopens.

Now you have at least 2. :)
I see you post only once a week or so. That could have something to do with it. People like new stuff and every new post will expose your blog to new readers on the global tags pages. OTOH, I’d rather read a blog with fewer, good posts than one jammed with things that have been posted for the sake of posting. The latter are easy to spot.
And perhaps some of your readers are using a feed reader.
BTW, your url does not include www. Keep blogging and have fun with it, okay?
-
Absolutely, you need to post more than once a week to get people checking it out. And readers who read your RSS feed will NEVER show up in your normal stats page, just on the individual stat graph for each post.

Thanks so much! I really DO need to post more! I just feel dry at the moment. BTW, raincoaster, you have quite a blog there! Just checked it out for a few minutes. Ellabella, I wonder why I do not have a www in my url? It’s weird. Thanks guys! :)

Yes, ella’s blogs are great. And thanks for the compliment about mine.
You have no W’s because your blogname takes the place of it. Like you have http://downcastmysoul.wordpress.com/ instead of https://wordpress.com. Your blog is a subdomain of WordPress.com.

Oh yes, that’s right! She is the .org side! At .org side don’t they have to pay to blog? The first post I saw was Passover Brisket..that rocks! I once attempted to do a sort of food blog but it petered out and I even forgot it’s name now! It was about bizarre and weird foods. God Bless and Happy Passover y’all!
-
And thank you both. I can always count on rain’s blog for a daily dose of great fun.
downcast – We all go through dry spells. Don’t force it. Every now and then I run across a blog with a post that begins, “I really don’t know what to write about today.” -CLICK-

That’s on my list to write about. But then I’d have to watch it and that would be a waste of good gin.

I’m a sucker for all LOL sites…lolthulhu is something else! I’ve already seen I Has a Hotdog and the Political one, but I really love I Has a Hotdog. There is a very funny LOL robots site as well.

Hello everyone,
I read this thread carefully because I’m having the same problem as raincoasteer, i.e. stats are gone to zero today… I haven’t written for a few days, but I’ve had 15 visitors or more every day for 20 or 25 days so it seems strange to me that I suddenly get to zero.
If anyone can help I’d be really grateful. Thanks already!
