Stats Question – 1 Visitor but 4 Countries?

  I just checked my stats about half an hour after midnight…

  I have 1 visitor and 17 views… but lower down on the stats page it shows 14 views from the U.S., 1 from Canada, 1 From Jamaica and 1 from Mexico.

  How can this be? Something in the statistics engine is broken? How can I trust my stats? Not a huge deal… just curious.

  It’s normal, Page views and country counts are almost real time, the visitor count can take a few hours to update because of the algorithm needs to check and see if a person has visited a blog already today – the count for the previous day should have an accurate visitor count a few hours after midnite
