Stats required plugin

  in the past few weeks when I try to access the stats for either of my blogs I get the following error message – the required plugin is not installed. I haven’t made any changes that would delete a plugin. How do I get my stats back?

  The information about the plugin and download link for wordpress.ORG bloggers is found here > http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/stats/
  The support documentation is found here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/api-keys/

  Your wordpress.COM blog linked to your username is already equipped with this stats plugin. It is installed on this multiuser blogging platform across the board for us all. We do not have FTP access to wordpress.com blogs and cannot install individual plugins into our blogs.

  I think reading this is a must for all wordpress bloggers so we clearly understand the differences between free hosted wordpress.COM blogs and wordpress.ORG installs. > http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

  yes, my .com was already equipped with the stats plugin but its no longer there. I’ll read the links you posted but am still confused by why the plugin is no longer on the blog stats.

  Sounds like if you see this message instead of your stats you should contact staff directly at http://support.wordpress.com/contact

  In your wordpress.com blog please go here > Dashboard and look in the left hand column. Under “Dashboard” do you see a “Blog Stats” link? If not then on that same page go to the top right hand corner and click “screen options”. You will then see this:
  Show on screen
  __Right Now __Recent Comments __Incoming Links __Your Stuff __What’s Hot __QuickPress __Recent Drafts __ Stats
  Screen Layout
  Number of Columns: 1 2 3 4

  Have you checkmarked Stats ?
