Stats slow today?

Not racking up the page views as usual. After the problems a couple weeks ago, now I’m always wondering. Anyone else have problems?

Ditto here. Site meter and wordpress having a disconnect. I’m going to open up a support request.

Anyone have movement on this? I know my stats for yesterday were wrong, but wordpress insists everything’s fine.

I’m having the exact same problem. It would be nice to have some light shed on this issue. I’ve seen >50% reduction in my traffic starting sometime on Wednesday.

Stats should be measuring normally. But lower traffic could have been related to this. Also see tellyworth’s notes about Sitemeter.

We had the same problem recently–stats for a week dropped by more than 50% of normal, which is unusual for us (our stats are very consistent and based almost exclusively on search terms, so the blog is much less susceptible to huge variation from week to week). Support said everything was fine. The problem corrected itself and the stats are back to a normal level.

I set a bit.ly link in Twitter to one of my posts. In the last two hours, my bit.ly account is showing 27 clicks on the link whereas my WordPress stats show 8 views. I’ll double check tomorrow night to see if these finally match up (i.e. some delay in the WP stat recording) but, looking at previous times I’ve done this, it does look like some views aren’t being recorded.

Been an ongoing gripe for a while now. Mine have been sluggish again today, but seem to be picking up a little now. Of course, today’s a day when many people have better things to do than read blogs ;-)

Because of recent problems with stats, I added statscounter as a back-up. Since Tuesday, statscounter and wordpress stats matched, but so far today, statscounter has recorded about 15% more hits than wordpress (not counting my own hits).
