Stats transfer from com to org
-
Hello,
Last month, I put wordads on my website and, well, my CPM has only varied between 0.01$ and 0.03$ in the whole month, even though I’ve served 850.000 ads and most of my viewers are in the US.
Anyway, I decided to switch from a wordpress.com blog to a wordpress.org blog, with another host, in order to use plugins and google adsense.
The problem is that, on wordpress.com, I’ve accumulated 7 million views over the years, and I really don’t want to lose all my stats.
So, is there any way I can keep them, or transfer them to my next website? The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi –
The better option might be to upgrade to the business plan on WordPress.com. Then you can use plugins to manage your own ad network and customize it how you like. You won’t be tied to using WordAds.
See here:
https://wordpress.com/plans/
https://en.support.wordpress.com/business-plan/This way you won’t lose any of that historical traffic.
Otherwise, you’ll need the Jetpack plugin and we can move your subscribers and stats over to the new site. If that’s the best option for you just write back to us here detailing the old and new site URLs.

Hi,Well, I’ve put the jetpack plugin, and the new URL is the same as the old one, https://defiring.com/
thank you

Sorry, it’s been a few hours now and I’d really like to know if something can be done about this.

Hi there,
Just to confirm, you now want your stats moved from defiring.wordpress.com to the Jetpack-connected site at defiring.com?
The new Jetpack-connected site does not have any content yet. Stats are tied to your site’s content, so before we can transfer your stats you’ll first need to migrate your content to the new site. You can export content from your WordPress.com site at My Site ->Settings ->Export. Then log into WP-Admin on your new site, go to Tools ->Import and select the WordPress importer. Once that’s installed you’ll be able to upload the .xml file you got from us and that will move your content over.
Let us know once that’s done so we can migrate your site stats.
I also see around 1600 subscribers on the WordPress.com site. Do you want us to move those for you, or will you migrate them yourself?

@kokkieh Yes, from defiring.wordpress.com to defiring.com, and yes I would like the subscribers to be transferred as well.
As for the content, I did transfer it, every post and every comment, and they’re on the https://defiring.com/ website. -
By “I did transfer it”, I mean that I did use the export file etc…. you can check the website and see the content

Hmm. On my side, in our internal tools, it just says two posts and two pages for that site, but that could just be Jetpack still updating the cache on our end.
I’ve gone ahead and merged the stats, and the follower migration is running. It should be complete within an hour.
