Stats views vs. visitors

  Dear Admin,
  i understand the difference between visitors and views but I has the stats have some glitches. I posted a blog an hour back. how is it possible that i get 16 views from India and another 16 from USA and still have only one visitor?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  page views update quickly

  Visitors can take a few hours to update, they need to check and see if the page view is by a new visitor today or one that has been here already – the search takes a while

  I find the lag amusing early in the morning – 1 visitor, 8 countries, 23 page views – one sucker must be moving very fast :)

  LOL :-D happens with me all the time.. And i have such a draught of visitors that after publishing the article i keep refreshing the article in hope to see some new comments or visitors! Hardly get commented, Sighhh!!!

  I get maybe one comment maybe every 5,000++ page views.

  Comment rate depends a lot on the type of blog – I admin a friends blog – they are retired and cruising on their sailboat – they get about one comment ever 300 to 400 page views – but their blog is a bit like a community bulletin board – mostly the same 4 people rotate leaving comments –

  What auxclass pointed to is not the same as tagging posts. Inserting the more tag into posts results in an excerpt on the front page followed by a read more link.

  The rule of thumb for tagging posts is to assign the least, not the most, combined number of only relevant categories and tags that accurately describe the post content. Note this please http://en.support.wordpress.com/topics/#missing-posts
