Stats, who is included?

I realize stats do not include my own visits to my site, and while I realize that their accuracy is technically a rough measure, I’m attempting to narrow and better identify down my audience by reviewing the history of my stats.
Firstly, if a wordpress staff member does happen to view a post or page on my, does that register on my stats? There was a day when I posted a question and my stats went up, but I wanted to make sure that wasn’t a coincidence.
Secondly, if I have more than one blogsite with a link between the two, and I am logged into one of them, and follow the link through, that does not show up my stats, does it?

Yes, if we view it that is counted.
In answer to your second question: if the blogs are under the same user account your visit won’t be counted. If they aren’t, it will.
