I need to renew my domain. I do not see an option to do so on the wordpress portal, but the WhoIs lookup says the following where I can see that the expiry is in 2022. So I need help on what the next steps should be and who I should ontact to regain control of the domain and my content

This is normal for expired domains. That is the registry expiration date – when a domain expires, it’s automatically extended for one year at the registry, until it enters redemption. That’s what makes the grace period possible during which you can still restore a domain without having to pay extra. If that did not happen, the domain would go into redemption the moment it expired.
