Stay theme: can I change title font to Arial Black?

  Hi, complete newbie here. I am using the Stay theme and have paid for the custom upgrade. Is it possible to change the font of the site title to Arial Black italic?

  You can pick a headline font that will apply to other titles too by selecting a custom font, which is good because it will ensure the font is available even if your visitor doesn’t have it installed and there’s a large choice.

  My recommendation would be Open Sans in extra bold italic!

  Otherwise you can change just the title with CSS like so:

  .wf-active .site-title, .wf-active .site-title a {
  	font-family: "Arial Black", Arial, sans-serif;
  }

  Thank you hallluke – can I make the font lowercase for the title? In the Stay theme it automatically makes it uppercase. I also need to make it italics… thanks in advance!

  Hi there, it looks like you have things well under control with the following CSS.

  .wf-active .site-title, .wf-active .site-title a {
      color: #0000cd;
      font-family: "Arial Black",Arial,sans-serif;
      font-size: 150%;
      font-style: italic;
      text-transform: lowercase;
  }

  Thank you thesacredpath – I had been delving about on the forum and found out how to do it.

  We realise not everyone will have Arial Black so the company name sometimes shows up in another font (say, for example, on a phone) – our logo is the name in Arial Black so we need to find a way for it to always show up that way. I’m looking at making a jpeg but would need to match the background colour to the website background colour – how do I view the CSS for background colour (to get the code)?

  The best method is to use your browser inspector (usually found via the right-click contextual menu). The one in FireFox even includes a little eye-dropper so you can grab the colour code for any pixel on the screen without having to hunt through the CSS. On your site the body has a background colour of #f6f6f6.
