You have two separate email address settings at WordPress.com. Have you entered two different email addresses at these locations (see below) or have you entered the same one at both locations?

    Which one is which?

Blog notifications for the admin (like comment moderation, Likes, new subscriptions, etc) are sent to the email address at Settings -> General in the Dashboard.

Personal notifications (like comments on your post, subscription emails, and upgrade renewals) are sent to the email address at Users -> Personal Settings in the Dashboard.

tt, the email address line was removed from the Dashboard>Settings>General several months ago. (October I think)

The only place we can input our account email address now is either in the Dashboard>User>Personal Settings or in the New Dash>Account Settings.

The same email address is used for all purposes. See here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/email-notifications/

    @justjennifer
Wow! Thanks for the heads up on that. I never noticed and I appreciate it.

    You’re welcome.

Having said that, it does seem a bit odd that there is no way to send the Reservation form data to another email address other than the site admin email, like one can currently do with the regular Contact form, so I’m tagging this for Staff input.

    Good idea.

It looks like the email associated with your blog wasn’t updated to the hotel email address when you updated your user account.

I’ve updated this now. Please try the reservation widget and let us know if the emails are going to the correct place.

    Thanks,

    Tim

Hey Tim, thanks for the reply. So essentially the reservation widget cannot accept an alternate email address to the account email address? (Maybe the hotel/b&b would prefer such communications sent to a “reservations” email address as opposed to the hotel “owner” email?)

Again it seems a bit strange given that this can be done with the regular contact form.

@JenT: In the look that I had at the code, it appears to be drawing the blog owner’s email address directly. This is definitely something I will take to the developers, though!

@linda: great! Let us know if you run into any more issues.

Hi there! I am also trying to set up the reservation widget for my site and am facing a similar problem.

If there are two administrators for the blog, will the widge send email to both the administrators or just the owner of the blog?

  • Unknown's avatar

If we can go by tmoore’s answer above, it’s only sent to the blog owner.

    Hello
Since mine reservation widget changes it only sends to one admin – this is how I want it.

    Hope this helps

    Linda
