Stay Theme – Rooms Pages "Oops! That page can’t be found."
-
Hello i’m using Stay Theme and i noticed that sometimes where i look at the Room pages it doesn’t work responding “Oops! That page can’t be found.”.
As you may know this theme is especially designed for hotels, B&B, etc. and is very important for people to look at the Rooms Page.
Anybody knows how to solve it?
Thank youThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Add rooms and testimonials to your site from the admin. Set a rate for your guests, tag your room with its Amenities, and add a featured image for the Room page template. Create a page and assign it the Rooms Template to display a listing of all of your rooms.

thanks for your answer.
I did all of this. I created the Apartments page and assigned it the Rooms template.
What i don’t understand is that sometimes it works, sometimes not. Without modifing anything on the page. Could be a bug of the theme? -

If you are not running one of the browsers and versions listed at http://browsehappy.com/ please try upgrading or switching first.
Note: If you are using an IE9 browser in compatibility mode that makes it render as IE7 and IE7 is not supported. To disable see > http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1196-internet-explorer-compatibility-view-turn-off.html
If you are, please do these four things:
1. Try clearing your browser’s cache http://www.google.com/support/accounts/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=32050
2. Make sure that you have third-party cookies enabled http://en.support.wordpress.com/third-party-cookies/
3. Try with all browser extensions or add-ons temporarily disabled.
4. Try enabling HTTPS: http://en.support.wordpress.com/https/
If you are not successful let us know exactly which browser (and version of it) you’re using and post any error reports you get.

I am using Firefox 21 and Chrome 27 and IE8 and I do not have any issues connecting with that page. I’ll tag this thread for Staff assistance. Please subscribe to the thread so you are notified when they respond and please be patient while waiting.

TTTS didn’t understand your question: notice she’s talking about your Apartments page only.
When I first visited your blog, I saw the problem, and I got the exact same problem in my tests blog (the room pages wouldn’t even show up when you clicked “View Room” on the room editor). Now the room pages are working, both in your blog and mine. Normally I’d think, ok, just a temporary glitch; but you already said that this thing comes and goes, so there must be something wrong with the theme (unless we’re missing something). -
Yes maybe there’s something wrong with the theme. It is already 2 days doing like this, i continue checking my rooms pages, now they works…
I’m quite sure i did all the right steps without missing anything.. -
Hi casaledicellole,
As timethief noted, the page http://casaledicellole.wordpress.com/apartments-2/ seems to be working okay for now.
If this problem persists, please let us know. Unfortunately, if we can’t reproduce the issue, it’s hard to troubleshoot. A screenshot could be helpful (you can upload it to your media library) as well as any other details. Does it happen only in certain browsers or on certain devices? Are there certain links or things you click that cause it to happen?

Maybe I’m just confused.
The Apartments page is using the Rooms template, and is functioning properly.
I asked for a screenshot because I’m not seeing anything out of the ordinary on that site. justpi, could you let me know which page gives the error? Maybe you guys are seeing a different result than what timethief and I see?
-
Hello, as justpi said, the page that doesn’t work properly is NOT Apartments but the Rooms pages (Canopy, River, moon, zoo).
At the moment is working good so i can’t post any screenshot.
But THIS is the problem, sometimes works, sometimes not. -
@casaledicellole: Don’t bother with the screenshot. Fist, I provided one. Second, there was never any need for a screenshot: your initial post made it quite clear it’s the standard 404 message of the theme. Now we must wait till a member of the WP Theme team sees the thread and decides to look into this.

Hi there,
To clear up some confusion which appears to have been going on, the page which was referenced a couple of times:
http://casaledicellole.wordpress.com/apartments-2/
Is the Room List page, where all of the rooms on offer are listed. Each room can then be clicked on and a URL like so is created:
http://casaledicellole.wordpress.com/room/canopy/
Please note that there is no page for:
http://casaledicellole.wordpress.com/room/
That is meant to be a categorization, not an actual page. If you are trying to visit this page, you will get a 404 error.
If either the apartments-2 page or one of the room pages (such as canopy, river, moon, or zoo) were getting 404 errors, that is of concern, however we have not been able to replicate it thus far and from what you’ve indicated it’s not doing so now for you. If it does, please let us know and we’ll be happy to investigate further.

Ok, resuming: when you click at Apartments page ( page with Room template) you get a list of my apartments, Canopy, River, Moon, Zoo.
Sometimes happens that if you click on one of these apartments you get a page saying “Oops! That page can’t be found.”.
Today it didn’t happen but sometimes it does, THIS is my problem.
