Hi,
Has anyone use the Stela theme as a personal blog?
I’m not aware of a Stela theme available for WordPress.com sites. Did you mean the Sela theme?
I am trying to organize my blog in different topics using the grid template. I want click on a grid and then have my post that I have written about that topic.
The grid page template, whether on the Sela theme or another theme, is a template assigned to a parent page that displays a grid of featured images representing child pages. The grid items (featured images and titles) in a page with the grid page template assigned typically link to the child pages.
There are other themes that feature a similar grid style blog page, in which the grid items link to posts. Themes with a grid-based or tiled format on the blog page, where each grid or tile item links to a corresponding individual post, include the following:
Grid-based or tiled, unlimited posts
- Autofocus (mosaic tiles)
- Cubic (tiles)
- Fontfolio (tiles)
- Hatch (grid)
- Mixfolio (grid)
- Pictorico (tiles)
- Spun (circles)
- Imbalance 2 (mosaic tiles) — retired
Grid-based or tiled, limited posts
- Canard (up to five featured content posts displayed in mosaic tiles)

*I don’t know why Rebalance isn’t included among the free magazine style themes, while Visual is. Instead, the Rebalance theme guide refers to it as a “portfolio theme.”

Thank you musicdoc1, but I think I was confused. It is the Sela theme. I’m wanted to know if I could use my blog posts that I have already wrote and o organized the 6 topics. When someone clicks on the grid that is the only topic that they will read. I have attached my link. Thanks!

@ lforgm,
The site is marked private so volunteers such as myself can not view it. You may either invite me as a viewer, change the visibility status to public temporarily, or add a “modlook” tag to the sidebar of this topic to call for staff attention. Staff can view private sites and have access to the administrative areas of all WordPress.com sites.

Thanks. So we’re talking about creating image and text links in the front page widget areas of the Sela front page template.
The images in the front page widget areas of the Sela demo are image links, and the “Read more →” links are text links. The relevant support pages include the following:
- Image Links
- Links (for text links)
- Text Widget Links
The basic form of a text link is:
<a href="link URL">link text</a>
The basic form of an image link is:
<a href="link URL"><img src="image URL" /></a>The pair of links for the Full-Width Page front page widget in the Sela demo look essentially like this in HTML or text mode:
<a href="https://selademo.wordpress.com/page-templates/full-width-page/"><img src="https://selademo.files.wordpress.com/2014/08/mg_9371-1.jpg?w=400" /></a> <a href="https://selademo.wordpress.com/page-templates/full-width-page/">Read more →</a> -

You’re welcome.
How do I make the website that when you click on the image to read more of travel all of my travel topics that I haven written will be on the next page?
Just assign the category “Travel” to each post on that topic, and then link the image to the “Travel” category page, which is already in existence, here: https://rgshoey.wordpress.com/category/travel/. See Category Pages support page.

You may also create and activate a custom menu, if you don’t yet have one activated, that may include links to category pages. See the Custom Menus support page.
