  I already have my .com domain name and I am on step 5. How do I use my .com name I already purchased?

  Hi there, if you want to use that custom domain here on a WordPressdotcom website, you will need to purchase at least the Personal upgrade plan to do so.

  Once you have purchased the plan, you’ll be able to map the domain you purchased from a different domain registrar by following this guide: https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/
