step by step creating a web site

  Hi,
  I’m looking for some support/direction to help create a web site. I originally created a web site using WIX but now want to create a similar site in WordPress and transfer my domain there.
  I wasn’t aware that there are two versions of WordPress (.com and .org). I’m using the .com version as it seemed easier not having to look for somewhere to host the web site.
  I tried looking for some books to help direct me in creating the site but all I can find are books relating to the .org version. I know there is the WordPress help but the videos are pretty quick and having something next to me would be ideal.
  Could someone recommend a book or alternatively a link to somewhere that can help me go through creating a web site (not a blog) in a step by step manner in WordPress.com?

  Do you know you can also transfer your complete site from any other host to WordPress.com in some simple steps.

  Here is the support document that will help you to know how to transfer your wix site to WordPress.com

  But if you just want to create another site similar to that then you can follow the document given below:
