  When I check this box in order to keep one post always showing up first, it doesn’t show up at all! PAny advice appreciated.

  First of all, always give a link to your blog when asking questions, or link your nickname to your blog as explained in the Sticky “8 Things to Know”.

  If you’re talking about http://bh2o.wordpress.com/ , there’s only one post in it; and it WOULD still show up if you marked it as a sticky.
